Video Conferencing has definitely come a long way in recent years and has become a common way for companies and individuals to communicate. One of the biggest benefits is that video conferencing is very low cost, especially if you choose the best webcams. Webcams from different companies such as Logitech, NEC, and Cisco are all readily available on the market. Most reviews have described these webcams as providing clear and high resolution images. They can also be adjusted to provide either a fixed or adjustable focal length for better viewing.

The Logitech Company (formerly named FoxPro) is an American company that provides a whole array of home and business video conference products. The newer models are much more capable of wireless connectivity, with most being able to support wireless video chat as well as in-room video conferencing. Other options include: blue tooth connection, Bluetooth, and Oviype. The Logitech Pulse(TM) was one of the first devices to incorporate Bluetooth technology and is now used by some of the top companies as a standard feature. The Pulse can also be used with web cams and many consumers enjoy the video conference features it offers.

The Canon Company has been one of the leaders in digital camcorders for many years, and their line of HS DVD camcorders is recognized as one of the best brands on the market today. In addition to recording video, the video recorder section of the HS DVD camcorder includes a built in “HD” video camera option with built in HD capability. Most of the models in the HS camcorder line include “raw” video capture, which means that it doesn’t have compression as is often found on camcorders of the past. This allows users to view high-resolution video and watch their recordings in the best quality possible.

One of the newest video conferencing solutions on the market is from a small company based out of New Zealand called Meetup. Meetup specializes in online social networking and has over three hundred thousand members. They provide easy to use tools to help users build meetups. Their 360-degree camera allows for panning in and out of various views, and they offer real-time reporting capabilities for reporting on group activities. Their 360-degree video conference camera is particularly useful for groups with several different activities that need monitoring.
